Face the Music

Face the Music.

Almighty calamity has come calling,
Here where you once loved me.
Those days moved on so very swiftly,
And the silence rolled in like,
A wind of change no-one needs.

Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…

When summer turned into autumn chill,
The ghost of this great despair,
Haunted every room you’d filled.
The echoes of our laughter gone,
And pain still brings me down again.

Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…

Calculating how the end might show,
I still would have chosen to be here.
For one moment in time with you,
Has been worth the eternity without,
Despite how I crave your closeness.

Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…

And in the dead of winter gloom,
I still feel a piece of you remains.
Guiding each and every move I make,
Towards the gates of heavens love,
Where we shall be together and then.

Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…

Take my tears and raise me now,
And I shall covet no-one here still.
For I would walk with you my love,
Until time and space are no more.

Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…
Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…
Chorus
It’s time to face the music,
Know when and where I belong.
As if there was a hope to choose,
Just how I’d be able to carry on…

Running

Running

Still the lights flash,
In my eyes where tears fall.
‘cos I’m losing my grasp of life,
When you ignore my call.

I’d wish peace to bring me,
Comfort missing you I’m dying.
Falling from every tower,
Running away far from pain.

Chorus
Then your smile brightens heaven,
As my heart begins to beat.
And I am seeing angels,
I am running to your feet.

Softly we lay down,
I feel heat beneath my hands.
And your welcomed attentions,
Burning hotter than the sun.

Chorus
And  your smile brightens heaven,
As my heart begins to beat.
And I am feeling angels,
Always running to your feet.

And that day we met,
In Nero’s taking coffee ‘n’ talking.
Brought new faith of friendship,
I knew should last for ever more.

Chorus
Where your smile brightens heaven,
As my heart begins to beat.
And I am dreaming angels,
Always running to your feet.

I can feel you looking now,
My heart has known a clue.
Yes your smile threw into motion,
How my passion really grew.

Then all has come full circle,
Laying here wrapped in your arms.
But the time is nearly over,
How I wish to live again.

Chorus
But your smile brightens heaven,
As my heart begins to beat.
I am walking now with angels,
Always running to your feet.

I am happy now an angel,
Always running to your feet.

Dead Man Walking

Dead Man Walking

As the wind blows cold,
Your warmth a distant memory.
Clouds are stealing my gracious view,
Of what a wonder you are.

Many days will follow on,
Before we can meet again.
And I know more than ever,
I have become a dead man walking….

Chorus
This lonely corridor is leading on,
To the heaven in your arms.
For I’m a dead man walking,
Unless I can know your love,
Unless I can know your love.

Since before my eyes became opened,
I’d not known a life at all.
I’d missed the point of believing,
But with you, I can move on….

Chorus
And this lonely corridor is leading on,
To the heaven in your arms.
‘Cos I’m a dead man walking,
Unless I can know your love,
Unless I can know your love.

Can you hear what I’m saying?
Need doesn’t come into this.
It’s all about wanting you,
And my sentence is this waiting….

Chorus
And this lonely corridor is leading on,
To the heaven in your arms.
‘Cos I’m a dead man walking,
Unless I can know your love,
Unless I can know your love.

Knowing this is not helping,
As I had imagined that it would.
For your special light announces,
How dark is time without you here….

Chorus
And this lonely corridor is leading on,
To the heaven in your arms.
‘Cos I’m a dead man walking,
Unless I can know your love,
Unless I can know your love.

Come back baby, please come home.
Come back baby, please come home.
Don’t leave this dead man walking….alone…

Strawberry Girl

Strawberry Girl.

In those days when summer,
Breaks slowly into the autumn,
I will remember only warmth.
For sharing every gentle touch,
In heaven you brought me to.

When autumn leaves for winter,
You still warm my very core,
Where I shall beg always for more.
A memory of sharing with you,
Each pleasure and the sunset sky.

Chorus
You entered as my strawberry girl, a taste of sweetened joy.
I never got to tell you all, how happy you made this boy….

Then my solemn winter moves on,
Death proving to be more now,
Than only the missing of you.
When candles still flicker your light,
And the carol singers bring delight.

Chorus
You entered as my strawberry girl, a taste of sweetened joy.
I never got to tell you all, how happy you made this boy….

One day becomes as every other,
In the absence of your smile.
And I welcome in the springtime,
New life has brought a bloom,
Like your presence in my room.

Chorus
You entered as my strawberry girl, a taste of sweetened joy.
I never got to tell you all, how happy you made this boy….

And as the birds lead a chorus,
Of how lonesome my life is now.
The ghost of pure nostalgia calls,
For I cannot accept my loss,
As we’d promised each other forever.

Chorus
You entered as my strawberry girl, a taste of sweetened joy.
I never got to tell you all, how happy you made this boy….

So believe me when I tell you,
You are the seasons of my life.
How glad I have been to know you,
And how treasured as my wife.
For you entered as my strawberry girl…

Chorus
You entered as my strawberry girl, a taste of sweetened joy.
I never got to tell you all, how happy you made this boy….

Chorus
You entered as my strawberry girl, a taste of sweetened joy.
I never got to tell you all, how happy you made this boy….

To fade……

IF YOU'RE GOING TO SANTIAGO

IF YOU'RE GOING TO SANTIAGO

If you remember the song by Scott Mckenzie from the 60's (If you're going to Sanfransisco)
Then hum the tune as you read this poem aloud, like you are singing it. Enjoy!!

If you're going to Santiago,
Be sure to wear, a flower in your hair.
If you're going to Santiago,
Summertime, will be a paradise.

Change pace.
I see from every nation,
We've a new dedication....
To walking in motion.....
To talking in union... Aargh....

If you go now to Santiago,
Be sure to share, the love that you have........
And when you arrive, in Santiago,
No surprize, if others with you share.

Change pace.
We've a new generation,
We have great expectation.....
Of living in friendship......
Of giving our kinship........Aargh....

When your journey, to Santiago,
Helps you to share, with all the pilgrims there,
Days of grace, in Santiago,
Every other, will be a love affair.

Change pace.
So my great dedication,
Is for every nation.....
We may live in union.....
That we live in union.......Aargh.....

If you're going, to Santiago,
Be sure to pray, for all the people there.
That like here, in Santiago,
Our earth, will be a loving place......
